Comparison

Free versus paid forex signals

Price is not a quality indicator in either direction. What differs structurally is monetisation, entitlement and accountability.

Neither free nor paid signals are inherently better. What differs is how the publisher makes money, what you are entitled to, and who is accountable when the material is wrong.

How free services monetise

  • Broker referral arrangements, which create an incentive to encourage account opening and trading volume.
  • Advertising.
  • Upselling into a paid tier, where the free feed functions as promotion.
  • Audience building for an unrelated product.

What paid tiers usually change

  • Signal volume and instrument coverage.
  • Publication timing relative to any free feed.
  • Inclusion of full risk parameters.
  • Support and access to the publisher.

The entitlement gap

A free channel is often a sample rather than a smaller version of the paid product, which makes it a poor basis for judging a subscription. Ask directly whether free and paid signals are published at the same time.

A comparison checklist

  1. Is the monetisation model disclosed?
  2. Are free and paid feeds published simultaneously?
  3. Are risk parameters always included?
  4. Is there a documented refund or cancellation term?
  5. Is there a corrections practice when the publisher is wrong?
