Editorial illustration of a methodology revision record

Methodology version 1.0 removes every score-like field from provider coverage and replaces it with an explicit evidence state shown on the page. This note records what changed and why.

Removed

  • Star ratings and numeric scores.
  • Rank positions and best-of orderings.
  • Win-rate, accuracy and average-return columns.
  • Subscriber and audience counts.

Introduced

  1. Independently checked — an evidence source and verification date are stored and displayed.
  2. Provider-reported — attributed to the provider, with source and date seen.
  3. Not verified — no supporting record exists.

Effect on ordering

Because no evidence records currently exist, all provider listings are ordered alphabetically, and that is stated wherever a listing appears. Ordering will not become performance-based without documented evidence.

See the research methodology and ranking methodology pages for the full rules.
